Living Learning Communities (LLC)

Looking for an opportunity to learn outside of the classroom? Hoping to build positive, engaged relationships with other students in your academic program or who share similar interests? Interested in participating in a community based learning environment?

Apply to live in one of our Living Learning Communities!

An LLC is a place to live and to learn! A place where students connect what they are learning in the classroom to activities outside the classroom and the world around them. Students in each community, share experiences, have fun, and learn together. Each floor is a vibrant place to live and call home.

Within each LLC experience is individualized community programming facilitated by the Residence Life Staff and students within the community. LLCs provide the incredible opportunity for students, staff and faculty to come together for shared interests.

There are two kinds of Living Learning Communities in Residence:

Academic Communities: An Academic Community is a group of students who live together in residence and who participate within similar academic programs

Themed Communities: A Themed Community is a group of students who live together in residence and who share similar interests or lifestyle preferences. Residence is an ideal environment for these communities, fostering the development of both social and academic relationships amongst students.

Who will be on the floor?
Each community is made up of a mix of first-year and upper-year students. Each community will be managed by a Resident Assistant with additional training to suite the unique needs the community.
