Tenant's Liability Insurance is a very good idea.  It protects you from paying damages to someone who sues you after being injured in your accommodation.  It also covers theft and fire, and can be a great comfort in case of an emergency.  Insurance rates vary depending on your coverage requirements.

Telephone
Telephone rates vary widely depending on the carrier as well as the features you choose.  The monthly rate is approximately $14.95-$40.00  Connections charges are approximately $55.  To setup your phone service contact any of the following carriers:   Bell Canada, Rogers, Primus.  Always pay your bills on time as it helps to determine your credit rating.  Long Distance packages are available from variou carriers, you wll have to shop and compare.

Hydro
Hydro may be included in your rent or you may have to pay directly.  You are billed for hydro every two months.  Select equal billing or pay your bill within the discount period. Call Torotno Hydro Electric System at 416-542-8000

Cable TV
Depending on where you choose to live, should you wish to have cable television, you will have to contact the cable company directly.  Check with your landlord to find out which company serves your area.
